S/S 2019 trend report

Ask us where we find inspiration and the answer will be quite obvious: Instagram. More than a way of connecting people, social media has transformed itself into a digital catwalk where new trends are born and worn every day. From the Spring Summer 2019 runway shows to our feeds, here are Springkode’s favourite styles – reinterpreted by our favourite it girls, of course.

Beige effect

Earth tones are here to stay. From coffee to nude, sandy and tanned shades, the sky is the limit when it comes to be dressed in “down to earth” from head to toe. Beige was crowned the colour of the season and its versatility makes it easy to succeed in silk and light fabrics but also in suits, knits and military inspired outfits.

Yellow mellow

Summertime always means playing with bold and vibrant colours. Yellow and its endless shades – believe us, it goes from lemon to butter and Aspen gold – was at its best in New York Fashion Week and the best part is we can already wear it, as Spring is just around the corner. Wear it from head to toe or just in a statement piece.

Utility obsession

Something between an urban safari, a war inspired scenario and a factory workplace – but make it fashion, of course. It means belted blazers, structured jackets, khaki jumpsuits, creamy cargo pants and tons of pockets everywhere. Ah, and a pair of knee-high boots.

Pleated, please

The elegant 50s silhouette made a comeback a few seasons ago and it does not intend to go anywhere else but our wardrobes. The pleated skirt is more relevant than ever and for Spring 2019 blazers and oversize knits and sweaters are an absolute match.

Orange is the new black

Let us rewrite: orange is the new orange. This season we are definitely not afraid to play with empowering colours (Pantone predicted it) and bright orange will be an obligatory presence in our Spring/Summer outfits. As a safe start, mix it with shades of brown or grey and a pair of heeled sandals.
